More than 900 players from a total of 28 states of India participated in the recently held Senior National Ju-Jitsu Championship, in which players in Under 21 Masters, Adult, Senior and Para categories displayed their talent. The winning players were awarded certificates along with medals.
According to MP Alaknanda ji, who was present as the chief guest, efforts will continue to include Jujutsu in the upcoming National Games. So that Jujutsu players can get all the basic facilities which are provided to other sports. Ved Prakash Pandey and Sonu Nishad, representing the Jujutsu team from Mathura district, said that the future of Jujutsu players is very bright.
Various martial arts academies are being run in the district through coaches, but most of the academies are for traditional sports. Only Jujutsu is being conducted which is not benefiting the youth. Recently, Jujutsu players have made the importance of this game clear by participating in the Asian Games, through which the winning players get various pos.
