Second district level karate competition concluded
District level karate competition was organized at GLA University, Mathura district in collaboration with Sports Karate Association Mathura and Sports Department University, in which more than 100 boys and girls participated in various categories and won medals and ensured their selection for state level karate competition. Among the participating schools, Kanha Makhan Millennium School got first position, Himaksha Martial Art Academy Kosikalan got second position, GLA University got third position, Royal Public School Kosi got fourth position, Romex International School got fifth position, Kanha Makhan Public School Jaigurudev got sixth position, and Fama Academy secured the seventh position respectively.
The said competition was inaugurated by Dr. Sunita Pachar of the University’s Institute of Business Management Department and Dr. Prabhat Kumar Upadhyay of the Institute of Pharmacy Department, along with karate coach Hariom Shukla by lighting the lamp in front of Saraswati. National karate referees Sonu Nishad and Ved Prakash Pandey earned flowers on the screen in front of respected grandfather.


Deputy Dean Student Academy Welfare Dr. Himanshu Sharma, who came as the chief guest in the said competition, honored the winning players by wearing gold, silver and bronze medals. According to Mr. Mantraveer Singh, Vice President of Sports Karate Association, Mathura, the winning players will participate in the state level karate competition on May 27-28 in Meerut, from where the selected players will participate in the national level karate competition which will be held in Delhi under the banner of Karate Association of India.
