Today, on 06 January 2024, the inter-college handball competition organized by Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University was organized by K.R.PG College, Mathura. In which a total of 8 teams of the university participated. AK College Shikohabad, KR PG College Mathura, Krishna College Bamrauli Katara Agra, BSA College Mathura, Chhalesar Campus Agra, RBS College Agra, Agra College Agra participated in the competition. College Principal Dr. Praveen Kumar Aggarwal started the competition by introducing himself to the players.
The first match was played between Agra College Agra and AK College Shikohabad. In which Agra College Agra won by a goal margin of 16-6. The second match was played between Chhalesar Campus and St. John’s College Agra in which Chhalesar Campus won by a goal margin of 13-9. The first semi-final match was played between Chhalesar Campus and RBS College, Agra, in which RBS College won the final by 13-9.
The second semi-final match was played between Agra College, Agra and KR PG College, Mathura, in which KR PG College, Mathura won by 18-12. Made it to the finals by a margin of . The final match was played between KR PG College Mathura and RBS College Agra in which KR PG College Mathura captured the final trophy by a margin of 33-28 goals. Monu Thakur, Prashant Chaudhary, Krishna, Neeraj Saini, Kishan, Chauyal Singh, Sunil performed commendably in the competition.
Organizing Secretary Dr. Dalbir Singh Kauntey said that the players selected in this competition will represent the team of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University in the Inter University Competition in Central University Punjab. Dr. Kulwinder Singh Bagga from KR PG College Mathura, Dr. Babita from KR PG Girls College and Mahesh Faujdar from Chhalesar Campus Agra were present in the role of selectors. The competition was conducted by Rahul Kuntal and Gyanendra and Deepak Chaudhary, Jasveer Chaudhary, Ajay Rangeela, Ajay Singh, Renu Neha played the role of judges.
