Despite China’s deception, Neeraj Chopra has created history by winning gold and Kishore Jena silver medal in javelin throw of the Asian Games. This is the first time in history that India has won both the medals in Javelin simultaneously in the Asian Games. In the ongoing Asian Games in Hangzhou, Neeraj won gold by throwing the javelin 88.88 meters in his fourth throw. No athlete could throw the javelin beyond this. India’s Kishore Kumar Jena was at second place. His fourth throw was 87.54 meters. On the basis of this he won the silver medal. Pakistani Arshad Nadeem withdrew his name a day before the event.

Neeraj, who competed in the final of the javelin event, had thrown the first throw of about 87 meters, but the Chinese management did not consider it valid due to technical reasons. A lot of questions were raised on social media about what were the technical reasons for such a big event. Neeraj Chopra looked very angry after this. However, due to Chinese deception, Neeraj had to throw the throw for the second time, in which he could throw only 82.38 meters. Not only this, in the competition, India’s Kishar Kumar Jena also threw the javelin to a distance of 81.26 meters in the first attempt, due to which he came in second place. But Jena’s second throw from too far was called a foul. There was a lot of controversy over the reasons why Jena’s throw was not considered valid as he was far from the finishing line.

Ultimately, both these players gave a befitting reply to the Chinese tactics and made India win gold along with silver. Both players gave their best performance in their fourth attempt. Along with Neeraj Chopra, Kishore Jena also qualified for the Olympic Games. In the coming time, India’s 2 medals at the international level in the javelin throw category are confirmed. After winning the silver medal, Kishore Jena said that Neeraj Chopra is my inspiration and I want to be like him.
