In 31 out of 36 government schools, girls will get training and instructors will teach self-defense skills.
Girl students of government schools will now be able to deal with problems. Self-defense skills will be taught to instill self-confidence in them. Girls from 31 out of 36 government schools in the district will be given training in karate. For this, trainers will be hired on honorarium. The state government had recently issued orders to teach self-defense skills to girl students of government schools. Under this, girls will be given training in Judo Karate in the government schools of the district so that if needed, they can teach a lesson to the miscreants also. They can develop self-confidence. Karate instructors will be hired on honorarium to teach self-defense techniques. There are 36 government schools in the district. Out of these, 31 such schools have been selected for training which are either girls’ schools or have more number of girl students. The training camp will run for 3 months in which teachers appointed on honorarium will provide training. An instructor hired on honorarium will give karate training in 3 schools. In this way, about 10 trainers will be appointed to provide training in 31 schools, who will give one hour training in each school every day. It is also necessary for a female teacher to be present during the training. The trainers to be appointed to teach self-defense skills to girl students will be selected by a committee constituted under the chairmanship of the District Officer. These trainers will get an honorarium of ₹ 4000 per school. For imparting training in 3 schools, the trainer will get ₹ 12000 as honorarium.
According to District School Inspector Bhaskar Mishra, orders have been received to provide karate training to girl students of 31 out of 36 state schools in the district. Soon the training of girl students will be started by appointing trainers through a committee headed by the District Magistrate. This training will be for 3 months.
