International Olympic Day was celebrated in KR PG College Mathura today, 23rd June 2023 Today, on June 23, 2023, International Olympic Day was celebrated on the grounds of KR PG College, Mathura. Received the introduction of the players of the hockey team, football team, athletics players, volleyball, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis players who come to KR College for practice. On the occasion of International Olympic Day, the program was conducted by Mahendra Singh Rajput, Secretary of the District Olympic Association and the program was presided over by Dr. Praveen Kumar Agarwal, Principal of the college. Promised to provide good facilities in Mathura itself So that the players of Mathura do not have to go outside Mathura for practice in different districts. He has given grants related to sports to various schools through MLA funds and CSR to various colleges and he has also assured that such players in Mathura will get medals in the Olympics, for which he will have full support.
Sports in-charge of the college Dalbir Singh said that earlier Shrikant Sharma had given a grant of 15 lakhs to the college in connection with sports. For this, the college expressed its gratitude to him. Prempal Shiv Dutt Chaturvedi, Nitin Sharma, Dinesh Kumar, Gyanendra, Rahul Kuntal, Himanshu Mehra, Hardev Singh Azad and office bearers of various sports associations participated in the event with great enthusiasm. Sharma ji had personal talks with the players going to Khelo India. The main attraction of this event was that Sharma ji got his full introduction from each child.
